I watched the game

Well, I Tivo'd the game and watched the first 3 quarters and then kind of watched the 4th on fast speed hoping they would bring him back in. Actually, he hoisted up some bad shots (as he does every once in awhile), and missed some open 3s. I was most impressed with his 30-point quarter. Wow.

I still am a Lakers fan, and I still don't like Kobe, though.

I am in the same boat

I am a huge Laker fan ... but was never enamored by the Kobe/Shaq run few years ago. I am really interested to see though how Jackson's second stint turns out. May be ... just may be Kobe is all grown up. We will see.

I was a bigger fan before

In the Magic-Worthy days, but always loyal to my team. Of course I suffered through the Cedric Ceballos-Sedale Threatt days as well. I don't like Kobe for the same reasons I don't like MJ (ballhoggedness, etc), but I never saw Kobe close his eyes during free throws or be a shill for every possible product on the market (although he probably would have if not for the sexual assault scandal). I don't like the fact that Kobe forces a lot of shots that he could probably get to an open man, but after last season where he probably could have had 7 or 8 assists a game if his teammates didn't miss so many open shots, I can understand how he needs to take more shots now.
