Time For A Change?
From the diaires - N
Consider this is the third year of rebuilding for UCLA. Granted we were a very lucky 9-1, however this game is a stunning slap in the face for any Bruin fan. If Bob Toledo laid this big an egg there would be no question he would be gone. Are Bruin fans cutting KD too much slack because of prior connections? I appreciate everything KD did as a player while at UCLA, but as a coach his performance is much less than inspiring.
Imagine we do not pull miraculous comebacks against CAL, WSU, OSU and Stanford, right now we are 5-6 and KD is out the door. How much longer can we go on this path? If UCLA truly wants to be a national power with the will and commitment then we must make a change now in coaching and a big change in admissions to atleast the same level as Cal. A high powered coach will turn the program completely around in two years, look at Carroll, Tedford, Stoops, Butch Davis, etc.
I for one am not willing to be SC's football bitch for the next 5-10 years. Seven losses in a row is totally unacceptable, and the fact that we were competitive in only one game the last seven years is horrific to my sensibilities. I have great pride in my school, but I will not donate one cent until a change is made (unless Howland brings a NC, but that's another story).
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.
