Blogosphere's Top-25

Brian from MGoBlog has just posted the first pre-season Top-25 poll taking in votes from 48 college football blogs around the country.  We of course have a vote and are proud to say yes we did cast our no. 1 vote for Texas instead for University of (alleged) Sex Criminals.

Click here to see how we voted in comparison to other college blogs.  Of course ... now is the time I want all of you to chime in.  Let me know how I screwed up.  But keep in mind one note - I will never ever vote USC at no. 1.  No way ... no how.  Not gonna happen even if Pom Pom Peter's thugs from South Central went 100-0.

GO BRUINS.

Nice work ... Trojans are a disgrace
Trojies are a disgrace to the notion of student athletes.  They should be banned from college football for being a joke of school to begin with.  Also, bonus points for annoying BoifromTroy.

Your vote for #1
Allowing your personal feelings to move Texas ahead of a Pac-10 squad?  Sounds to me like you're ready to be a member of the AP poll. :)

ROFL
I think the commenters on other blogs make a valid point that at some point, you would conceivably have to vote for them.  No problem rating them #2, especially preseason, but if, for example, there were no other undefeated teams, then the case for not voting them #1 would be pretty difficult to make.

But as long as there's one other undefeated team, no problem, especially as long as you vote them #2!

My poll would probably look something like this, but I really need to think about this more

1 SC (stop throwing things)
2 Texas
3 Tennessee
4 LSU
5 Ohio State
6 Iowa
7 Georgia
8 Michigan
9 Louisville
10 Miami
11 Florida State
12 Boise State
13 Virginia Tech
14 Oklahoma
15 Texas A & M
16 Arizona State
17 Auburn
18 Texas Tech
19 Cal
20 North Carolina State
21 Minnesota
22 Notre Dame
23 Pitt
24 Boston College
25 UCLA

You are right ...
It would be difficult to make a case against them ... if there were no other undefeated teams.  I was letting my emotions do the writing in this post ... but that is what CFB is all about to begin with.  But right now there are myriad of other reasons to vote for SUC at no. 2 (Norm Chow not being there any more is a big one).  But I after seeing the whining from a certain Trojie blogger, I am more determiend to to keep them at 2 from now on (as long as they are other undefeated teams).

Pre-season rankings are still kind of crapshoot - it will probably crystallize in my mind a bit more, after the first two full weeks in college football.

ND at 23?
...I thought the MSM was guilty of over-hyping ND.

Sheesh.

Question...
If you want to put USC #2, that's your buisness, but  HOW IN GOD'S NAME CAN YOU PUT A TEXAS TEAM WITH NO PROVEN RUNNING BACKS OR RECEIVERS AT #1?
