BS

any red flags come up about Dorrell going to Pac-10 about the late hits.  reading the quotes yeah it seems like he acknowledged they happened but didnt really seem to upset.  im tired of his straight bs never seems to show emotion, i dont Dorrell to be a whining coach all the time but why not call out Stoops whose players are simply that dirty SOBs.  any apologies from arizona?  tuitami got knocked out during the flow of the play, he still had the ball, ben and christian's hits were late, cheap, and dirty.  and i dont understand why the sideline referee didnt throw his flag when pat got hit late.  the play happened right in front of him.  only the back judge threw the flag in.  i really hopes stoops and his players get it for there bs

What do you want him to do?
Call Arizona a bunch of trailor trash fuckers who play dirty?

Dorrell's way too classy to pull a Stoops or a Carroll.

not to that extreme
but open a dialogue and put ppl on notice about arizona.  its not an issue about dorrell by being classy (also i dont think him smiling to pat cowan after olson goes down as classy) but if anything show some god damn emotion.  its been said on bruinnation numerous times that dorrell for the most part has this numb look his face, almost as if he doesnt care.  i mean really back up, speak up and protect your players from any future crap from this team.  the defense beat the crap out of the arizona offense but thats taking after the fiery personality of walker.  im not saying dorrell needs to speak up and be a jackass like stoops or carroll but at least have some prescence about him because the nice guy act is getting old.

Agreed
college sports is all about emotion.

can you imagine what an elite coach would have done to the Zebras when BO went down?  Dorrell has no emotion. he shows no life. And it often translates into the listless performances of our football team.

That is not Dorrell's personality
and there is nothign wrong with that. Emotion and jumping up and down look nice for the fans, but thart isn't going to win you games and that is what is important. Dorrell has his faults, but his demeanor is just part of his personality and it can work fine. He doesn't need to complain to the refs and jump up and down on the sideline. Frank Beamer, Urban Meyer and a number of other coaches have a demeanor similar to Dorrell and it works fine for them. Yelling at the refs will not cause them to decide to throw a flag. Dorrell sent his complaint to the Pac 10 and he is going to move on. We have two big games coming up and dwelling on that isn't going to help us because regardless BO is still hurt and we still ave to play our next two games.

Dorrell
certainly doesn't have the same demeanor/side line mannerisms as Beamer and Meyer.  I watch those guys almost every weekend. It's a stretch to assert Dorrell and those two coaches have the same sideline mannerisms. Those guys are into the game. They always seem to be talking to their OCs/DCs, and making obvious adjustments after halves. Dorrell usually stands like a statute, aloof, and as he admitted himself doesn't bother interfering with what his OC is doing.

Dorrell smiling...
... I watched the press conference and the way he said it was taken out of context in the press.

JW
I'm not defending KD in any way but John Wooden would sit on the bench with his program rolled up and never show any emotion.

Not all people are the emotional type so maybe he is in the wrong profession.
