I have be reading this website for a couple of months now, and I have seen words thrown around like "dorrellian" and "lavinesque". Being a die hard Bruin fan, I have been able to infer what these terms mean, but I don't know if anyone at BN has actually defined these terms for the casual fan who comes across the site (if they have, I apologize in advance!). I thought I might take the liberty to actually define these terms, plus add a couple of more, and submit them to Websters for consideration:

"dorrellian" adj. 1.The act of being ineptly stoic in the face of adversity. 2. Submissively catatonic 3. Underacheivement and futility in a conservatively bland fashion. (i.e. The prosecution stood there in "dorrellian" fashion as the astounding not guilty verdict was read to Mr. Simpson)

"lavinesque" adj.  1. The praise of dubious accomplishments by a small faction in the face of overall ineptitude and underacheivement. (i.e. Despite a historically low 11% approval rating, the president was "lavinesquely" applauded by tobacco companies after vetoing the cigarette tax bill.)

"svabodad" v. 1. An irrational, undisciplined, and unexpected course of action which leads to futility, despite overwhelming evidence and obvious facts leading one to the contrary. 2. Unpreparedness (i.e. I "svabodad" and hence, prolonged my trip from San Diego to Anaheim not knowing I could drive my hybrid in the carpool lane!)

"colletoed" v. 1. The foolish act of hiring or enlisting a person who historically has performed poorly under similar circumstances. (i.e. The company "colletoed" the ex-CFO of Enron last week)

"dewayned" v. 1. The act of scapegoating in order to deflect criticism of a more obvious and deserving culprit. (i.e. The doctor's attorney  "dewayned" the treating nurse for killing the patient, despite the fact that it was his client that wrote for 10 times the dose of the appropriate drug)

Go Bruins.
