Serious Thoughts on Notre Dame

Stay connected for news and updates

I don't care what anybody else says, but I DO NOT believe the hype that Notre Dame is. Brady Quinn is good, but not Heisman Trophy good. Notre Dame is good, but not good enough to beat Michigan, just barely good enough to beat Georgia Tech, and good enough to figure out John L. Smith practices Dorrellian game plans (playing not to lose as opposed to playing to win).

That being said, UCLA has a chance to beat Notre Dame. Do I think we will beat Notre Dame? All signs point to no since I have no doubt Dorrell will figure out a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

But what if we do win? How much time will this buy Dorrell? As long as any team beats a half way decent Notre Dame team, they will get significant praise because, well, its Notre Dame people!

So, the question I pose is this - if we win, what will it mean for Dorrell?
