Bumped. Light up the switchboards today, tomorrow, and specially Monday (TODAY).
Please be polite and respectful when you are making these calls. Please use the viral tools at the bottom of the post to share it with every UCLA related family and friends you know. This diary will stay up top for next 72 hours. Turn the heat on. - N
I'm going to do my part and call the Athletic Office that the football program is now DTM, or "Dead To Me", and that I refuse to spend another dime on that program until Dorrell goes. Too bad I can't just cut them off completely since I still need tix for Ben Ball.
In the meantime, I'm going to sell every last of my football home tix on Stubhub.
The office number for the Athletic Fund office is:
(310) 206-3302
These are the people (click on read more - N) that makes things happen. No happy alum, no $$$ for the program.

Update [2006-10-21 19:49:17 by stevenucla]:Here are the list of people who work at the athletic fund:
Sr. Associate Ath. Director - External Relations Ross Bjork, Emporia State '95
Assistant Ath. Director - Wooden Athletic Fund Sharon Takeda, UCLA '89
Asst. Director (Wooden Athletic Fund) Brian Smith, California '88
Asst. Director (Wooden Athletic Fund) Bill Bennett, Nebraska '74
I personally talk to Brian Smith myself, nice guy, so go easy on him, but at least when you call, you'll sound like you know what you're doing.
Update II 8:13 pm PST [Nestor]: Also contact the Athletic Department and let them know how frustrated you are with Coach Dorrell. This site can provide a lot of the basis for your letter, with historical facts and data. We are not going to suggest any template, because form letters are ineffective. We ask that you be respectful and provide a lot of facts to back up your opinion.
If you are a donor or season ticketholder, you have a reason to complain. If you have cancelled season tickets (as I have) because of frustration with the team and the lack of coaching, this is a valuable fact to include.
If you receive any response, you can let us know in the comments section, or by sending us an email. There are a number of people to send letters, emails, faxes and phone calls to, not just the athletic director:

In the end, though, as Steve mentioned above money talks. While the athletic department did turn down a lot of money to hire a big-name coach four years ago, this can't last forever. Declining attendance rates and declining giving will be the biggest impetus towards change. Letters from loyal fans and alumni will certainly have an impact.
