The frustration, anger and despair is very palpable upon taking a few minutes to read through everyone's diary and post. I feel it too and am doing my part by withholding donations to the athletic department and communicating to the administration regarding how unhappy I am with the direction of the program. We all want to do what we can to affect change; the fans that regular this site are truly loyal and passionate about UCLA athletics, and I am happy to share this. I want to say: Keep up the good work, because I know we are all making a difference.
A request though to everyone: Keep going to our home games and support our team. We have to show to everyone, both inside and outside the program, that UCLA has a strong, loyal and passionate fan base. A half empty stadium will paint us as apathetic, is demoralizing for the players, and may undermine our efforts for change. Selling season tickets to Stub Hub does not take any $$$ away from the school; it just puts more of the visiting team's fans and colors in Bruin sections. Don't do this.
Besides, can anyone think of a better venue for tailgating than the Rose Bowl?
