I fear...

We will end up below .500 this year. I see loses to the Cougs and Bears and yes, even $C under our current leadership. I think the Sun Devils and Beavers are going to give us a run for the money. Maybe that's the "Shock & Awe" DG needs to even consider replacing KD...

Your fear may be reality
Not to be too pessimistic, but I think UCLA will have difficulty winning another game.  There only hope is that they can pull out a win this week against the Cougars.  If they can do this, Dullard may be able to hang on to his job.  DG will not fire him if he is at .500 or above (no guts - personally I would fire him NOW!)of course I don't think DG will fire him at all whatever his record.  The Bruins have Wash State at home (possible lost after let down and demorilization of the ND game), Cal @ Cal (not a chance), Oregon State at home - Don't forget these guys beat Washington, who we have seen has a pretty good team - no gimme, @Arizona State (not a chance - As we have already seen, UCLA can't win any road games) and USC (Only if miracles truly still occur and SC has something like 10 turnovers - statistically possible but not probable).  Added to all of this is the normal UCLA "go into the tank" at the end of the season syndrome, which started in the Toledo era (another lousy coach).  In summary, more mediocre coaching performances to come, you really have to feel for the players.  I can only imagine what Dullard and his coaching staff (if you can call them this)say when they go out on recruiting trips - "Come to UCLA, we have great Basketball teams you can watch?"

how truly sad,
that we have come to this.

Here we are, in the 4th year of KD's tenure, with his "best team" ever. And we don't have a gimme game, and our season appears to be at best, destined for another pathetic appearance in El Paso. How did we get here?

I realize that every week is a chance to go 1-0 and that no team on the schedule should be looked over or taken for granted. I realize all too well that football is a game of inches and sometimes, the outcome of the game is dictated by the peculiar bounce of that oval shaped pigskin. Given all that however, how did we really get here? How is it possible that a storied program such as UCLA, with a seasoned coached (granted, not a skilled, seasoned coach) in his 4th year with his "best team" ever, looks questionable against the likes of ASU, OSU and WSU with losses to a third tier team like Wash and a second tier like ND?

Even with the crappy coaching
We know that our Defense is good enough. With the exception of Cal, who do we have left on our schedule with an offense like Notre Dame?
Our Defense will keep us in games, our offense may not help us dominate games. I say we lose to Cal and maybe ASU.
But we win our home games (yes USC too) and at the end of the year we part with Coach Dorrell an bring in Tom O' Brien and enter the next chapter of UCLA football.

ND does not have a great offense this year
And they have a less than average defense.

If UCLA finishes below .500 this season
I believe good causes exists for Dorrell to be terminated.

I disagree
with Ajax. I believe good cause already exists and has been shown to Judge Guerrero, if only he would open his eyes or stick his head out the window at Morgan Center and smell the discontent in the air.
