Move Forward
It is what it is.

We can lament about it or we can..........

Move forward with the game plan and play the best you possibly came. No excuses....defense needs to play a little harder and the offense needs to smooth out the wrinkles (optimistically said).

Svoboda needs to continue his recovery from rectal, craneal inversion.

The offense and defense need to attack on every series like we were born to do it.

Art the optimist

By the way, when Taylor went down Bosworth filled in pretty well.

Exactly Arty
we are not going to switch our expectations at all.

we still expect this team to win at least 9 games and beat Southern Cal.

By the coaches' own admission there wasn't much difference between Pat and Ben, and they didn't change up the plays when he came in last weekend.

Now let's see how Dorrell's system pay off.

Pat has been in the system for 3 years. He should be ready to go.

9 wins and a win over Southern Cal.

No excuses.

Crap
Not good for Ben Olson. If Cowan does well he could end up losing his starting job. This suks.

Olson deserves better...
... you could just see how dejected BO was on the sidelines. He's waited a long time, and just when we're getting to the meat of the schedule, where he'd definitely get some national exposure, some punk-DB from 'Zona hits him late.

Let's hope he has a speedy recovery and finishes strong for us. He needs to play this season to build for the rest of his college career.

Could be an awesome story
Ben coming back to end the streak against SC.

I can dream.

Oo Shit
Now I have to deal with Pat Cowan for another 4 weeks. I hope he can return as soon as possible. I don't want him to have to go through any more growing pains next year. That is, if he sticks around for next year.

by UCLAFreak88 on Oct 9, 2006 7:28 PM PDT reply actions

He's not going anywhere...
... Ben isn't going to transfer again, and he's definitely not ready to turn into the next Tommy Maddox by leaving early.

by uclaike on Oct 9, 2006 7:31 PM PDT reply actions

Really?
You don't think he would transfer if he Pat Cowan was given the starting job? Why would he want to stay if that was too happen?

by UCLAFreak88 on Oct 9, 2006 8:27 PM PDT up reply actions

Well...
... I guess I'm not envisioning a scenario where PC is the starter when BO is healthy. You make a good point though, I have no idea what BO would do. I guess at this point it's a bit premature, since we've only seen PC play one game.

I think it's more likely that when Ben comes back
Pat Cowan transfers.

I don't think either will transfer.

by True Blue and Gold on Oct 9, 2006 9:24 PM PDT reply actions

I hope your right...
I would much rather lost PC than BO.

Me too.
