MJD tearing up NFL

I just wanted to make a quick post today about how Maurice Jones-Drew is turning into a dangerous, dangerous weapon in the NFL. He ripped up Colts Defense yesterday with a 3 TD game. Admittedly its not hard to rip up that D, but hes been impressive all year. A small article on ESPN summarizing the week's games can be found here

He currently has 12 TDs, more than any other rookie in the No Fun League (including a certain running back drafted out of South Central). Nine running, two receiving, one return. Twelve touchdowns is a great season for practically anyone, let alone a rookie. Even better, thanks in large part to the ground game he is helping establish the Jags are in the playoff hunt and IMO he is on the short list for NFL Rookie of the Year honors. At least, he should be (the talking heads on TV seem to have already given it to Marques Colston).

This sort of thing is great for UCLA and recruiting. We need as many UCLA players to succeed in the NFL as possible. I would've loved to see him play in Westwood this year but you gotta admit, he was ready for the next level.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

HANDS DOWN THE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR!
With Colston being injured down the stretch I think MJD runs away with the offensive rookie of the year award. The Jags are getting a great return on their investment in MJD. 12 TD's is unbelievable, not to mention he's primarily a 3rd down short yardage back who has to share snaps with Taylor. I swear to God that Maurices legs are wider then he is tall. It looks like someone cut the legs off of a horse and attached them to him. I never get tired of watching him plow someone over.

Someone said he looks like a bowling ball
going down field and it's true.  He's hard to tackle and is fast as hell.
