Balls!

That is what Mike Riley has.  Karl Dorrell should take a page out of his book.  For those who didn't see it, Oregon State was down by 7 with 22 seconds left in the 4th and scored.  Instead of going for the sure tie, Mike Riley decided to go for 2.  What can Karl Dorrell learn from this?

  1. Be aggressive - this is a bowl game.  Play to win!  Don't play not to lose
  2. Listen to your players - Mike Riley said that it was a tough decision to make, but he listened to the players and went for it
  3. Have confidence in your players - Mike Riley obviously had confidence in his players if instead of taking the game into overtime, he tried to end it in regulation.  Karl Dorrell told the press that he "hopes to give them a game" against USC.  What kind of confidence in your players is that?
  4. Smile - is it that hard, Karl?

If they didn't make the 2 point conversion, I probably would not be saying any of this.  But it was impressive.
