Morrison is still dirty...
I can appreciate that he was better in the postgame press conference unlike his fellow whining player / coach, but to me, he is still a dirty player. They actually showed many replays of his foul on Afflalo where AA scored and then Morrison flopped to the ground on the HDTV feed, but most of the nation watching regualar TV missed it because they were doing a look in on the WVA-TX game (I didn't realize that until I saw my tape of the regular feed).
From the baseline angle, you can actually see him twisting Afflalo's entire wrist backwards at a crazy angle, and Afflalo just tries to jerk his arm away before it gets damaged- upon which Morrison completely throws himself to the ground Vlade Divac style to try to draw a cheap foul or T, which would have been AA's 5th. Fortunately, the refs actually caught this one and could be seen warning him about his antics- I thought it should have been a T on him for completely unsportsmanlike behavior, first for the twisting of the arm, and then for his diving, but of course, that would never happen. Reminds me of stuff Rodman used to do- past the "just being competitive" line. It just shows how classy AA is to still come over to hime after the game- I know I wouldn't have if someone had done something like that to me.
Morrison might be a good enough player, but he is so deliberate with his clear out move that I doubt they will let him get away with it in the NBA- but who knows?
Onwards to Saturday!
