Focus

There are so many things to say about UCLA's rightful return to the Final Four.  But, as I'm reveling in our victory by reading the morning articles (and trying to ignore the worthless MSM tripe about it being an ugly game - and Dodd particularly can lick my undercarriage), I noticed something small that says so much about our coach and our team.

We've heard Farmar's great quote about not raising the trophy, but did you hear Howland during his post game interview with Len Elmore ?  Len mentions that "your going to Indiana, and you're going to be meeting an LSU team that..." and Howland interjects: "I didn't even know that."

I just love that.  The guy is so focused on winning he doesn't even know who won the earlier game.  Sometimes, it's the little things you appreciate.  And, boy, do I appreciate what Howland has done.

The guy has turned this group of kids into stone-cold killers, so focused on defense and winning that you almost have to pinch yourself.  Thank God for Howland and GO BRUINS!
