Hollins First Round Pick?

Scout.com reported on Friday that Ryans Hollins has been having some impressive NBA workouts:

UCLA very well could have a player from this season's team get taken in the first round of the NBA draft.

But it might not be who you think.

Ryan Hollins, the senior center, reportedly has had some good workouts for NBA teams and could sneak into the late first-round.

Hollins worked out in Los Angeles for some NBA teams Tuesday, and will possibly have more workouts around the country.

If Hollins got picked in the first round I think the collective jaw of the Bruins Nation (and I dont just mean this blog community) would drop.

Then our collective foot would be placed in our collective mouths.

Sure, we have recognized his improvement this year, but first round pick?  Does everyone remember the type of posts that were being made about him?  "A resident member of the fellins crew," a worthless lavin recruit, we groaned any time he touched the floor.  Yet I couldnt imagine the end of the season without him, and now he's getting some deserved recognition from the NBA.

I dont think any of us expected him to get drafted AT ALL, let alone the first or even second round.  Despite his 3.5 year stagnation, I'm proud of this Bruin graduate. I hope he karate kicks some ass in the next few weeks leading up to the draft.
