if dorrell was a poker player he would

fold every hand. if the was dealt pocket aces he'd slow play them until the other players caught up then fold. that's what he did today - kicking field goal after field goal when he had the goods (getting the minimum out of them in the meantime) before finally folding in the second half.

i have never seen a team coming out firing on all cylinders as we did today before fading into complete obscurity and lethargy.

it's strictly because going for fg after fg sends
psychological message to the team that their coach doesn't believe in them. if you don't have enough faith in your team to throw it on third and ten from the opponents 11 yard line (it's basically third and goal) then that's not exactly a pick-me-up to the team. the team realizes the coach either has no faith in them or even worse is a complete moron, taking playing not-to-lose to the extreme. who would want to play for the guy? no wonder we got lackadaisical as the game went on.

only dorrell can take 2 consecutive momentum builders of having consecutive drives start in the red zone due to a turnover and punt return yet not even attempt to score. it takes a really talented individual such as dorrell to kill divine interventions of momentum like that. i didn't even know that was possible, not even for dorrell.

i always knew dorrell was the best at getting the least out of his players due to atrocious play calling. today i found out he's also capable of getting the least out of every single situation handed to him due to atrocious play calling. it's quite a double whammy of talent that frankly i don't think has ever been matched in any form of coaching at any level in any sport.

and he's always just standing there with that dumb, expressionless look on his face. he does show emotion whenever we make  a fg though. it's the only time i every see him excited. funny how he's only shows excitement on fg's. fg's usually emotionally drain our team since they are drives we couldn't finish that mostly occur becuase of  his brilliant red zone play calling. but there he is acting like we just won the national championship with each fg.
