Firing

So, what is the most effective way to pressure and encourage coaching changes??  How do we put pressure on the administration?  I know nothing about the guys who decide who's to be hired or fired...
I think we need to set up some demands and make them be heard.  I'm willing to do my part.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

im afraid he'll be here forever
no matter what happens this year his stubborn supporters (dan guerrero) can say it's a rebuilding year. they'll look to last year's ten win season and point out the players we lost.

if we have tedford or carroll coaching this team we would win ten games minimum. if dorrell is coaching the team sc has right now i see them doing as bad as i'm afraid we're going to do. we have the players and yet dorrell won't even give them a chance to play with his inept, lifeless play calling. we win despite him. we lose because it's hard to overcome a coach holding us back.

WAS THAT EVEN AN OFFENSIVE GAME PLAN! IM NOT ASKING FOR BRILLIANT OR EVEN GOOD JUST STOP HOLDING US BACK. WE WERE ALWAYS BEHIND LAST YEAR DUE TO DORRELL'S PLAY CALLING HOLDING US BACK. DOWN BY TWENTY HE'D LET THEM PLAY.

You are doing it right now
Just keep pounding away here at the Nation about how UCLA deserves better.

Keep writing, talking, and commenting
and stay with facts. You will be fine.

What you are doing here ... is making a difference. And I will gurantee you that your words are being heard.

What you can do is direct everyone to BN and speak up here.

Talk about Dorrell and the football program without making it too personal.

We have been doing it for a while. Looking at his overall body of work.

Obviously its not impressive.

We just need to keep at it.

Agree
This is why this site is so important, it is one of the few I have seen that are willing to demand a little bit more from our football program. Stick to the facts, make your case to KD supporters as to why we deserve better, why KD isn't the man to get us to where we should be. If anything, this is going to be a grassroots campaign. I'd love for him to win another 7 games including southern cal, but given that the team largely regressed after the Rice game, I don't see a single game on our schedule that we can now take for granted. If you want to really convince people, just remind them what it was like to be "Lavinized".

Well said
In a way constructive, well thought articulated crticisms have more effect on the blogs because we are not doing it behind the protected ($) firewalls of message boards.

When people make well thought our arguments on why we need to do better and demand accountabilty, we will get heard.

This is a long term thing.

Unbelievable
As I have stated previously, I am always optimistic......but

Yesterdays offensive game plan just about ripped the heart out of me. The defense was playing spectacular but the ineptitude & execution of the game plan hurt them tremendously unil they just wore out.
I at least can see the improvement on the defensive side of the ball. I can't count how many steps we've gone backwards on the offensive side.

Gutless & cluless!!!

My attitude may be better tomorrow, but don't plan on it.
