USC will host basketball tournament on ESPN?
From Scott Wolfe's blog (Inside USC):
With heralded recruit O.J. Mayo on his way, ESPN wants USC to headline an eight-team, three-game tournament in Anaheim next season. The Trojans would play the prime-time game each night.I know Scott Wolfe isn't exactly Mr. Reliable, but if this is true, this would really really really really really really piss me off. Um...isn't ESPN forgetting that there is another program in Los Angeles? A much more storied program with 10 more national championships than USC? Hmmmm...let's see, if we go to ESPN's top college basketball recruits coming in...who is number one on the list? Kevin Love??? Where's that guy going? Oh...thats right...UCLA.
I really can't stand the bias. It's really beginning to get on my nerves. SC blows. And ESPN is nothing but a bunch of ass-clowns.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Big deal
Seriously, you are spending way, way, way too much time and energy worrying about that irrelevant POS program across town and all the coverage they get.
Don't be bothered....$C basketball has, is and always will be IRRELEVANT compared to UCLA. They can televise, write about, drool all they want over them....WE'RE WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS!!

One of three things will happen . . .
B) ESPN will not invite other good teams, USC might win "the tournament", but it will be irrelevant and boring (like Cal winning the Otis Spunkmeyer classic every year)'
or
C) UCLA will be invited, and either win the tournament or (like a meaningless football bowl game), turn down the invitation and play in Maui against real competition.
Like a choose your own adventure book, its fun either way for the Bruins!
