Carson Palmer forgets everything he learned

Reacting to the latest Bengal arrest, Carson Palmer released a statement on the Bengal's website today:

"It has to stop," Palmer said hours after he heard the news. "If it doesn't stop, we're not going to have any fans left and I don't blame them. It's ridiculous. We can't get through a month without getting a guy arrested. It happens on another team and they're shocked and surprised to hear about it. With us, you hear about it and it doesn't surprise you and you just shake your head and say, 'Another one.' "
...
"Talent isn't everything, and we've got talent but we're sitting home for a reason and we have to do something about it."
...
What set Palmer off and put the Bengals back in the crosshair of jokes came overnight Monday when Joseph was arrested in Boone County, Kentucky overnight on a marijuana possession charge.
...
Joseph became the ninth Bengal to be arrested since Dec. 15, 2005.

Really? I thought 4 years at SUC would have prepared Palmer well for playing on a football team that gets frequent flier points with the local bail bondsman.

BTW, Carson, you shouldn't worry about losing fans. I mean 1) all the arrests at your alma mater didn't stop all the lemmings jumping on the bandwagon; and 2) are there really Bengal fans out there?

Maybe the Bengals can become our new savior by coming to get KD to clean up house.  I mean, he can't coach worth shit, but hey, he'll make sure your team doesn't turn into the Raiders or SUC.  It's not like the Bengals win anyway, so at least they would solve one problem.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

I know
I couldn't help it.  When I first saw that on DSPN, my first thought was, "Are you f'ing serious?"

Come on Carson, let's be honest.  The REAL reason why you're pissed is because the Bengals aren't winning because you know good and well that's really how you get "fans".  Maybe then, even Snoop will wear a Bengals jersey.

Actually, more accurately, you're pissed because the AP hasn't declared you the Super Bowl winner even though you're actually not in the Super Bowl.

I have no problem with Carson
Other than the fact that he is a Trojan, I think he is a good kid. He is far from arrogant and very serious about his craft. You don't ever see him hangin' in Hollywood and going clubbing, or dissing his opponents and making excuses. Then again, he wasn't a Pom Pom recruit, so it makes sense. He was pretty close to being a Bruin if I am not mistaken. Also, he did go through a couple of bad seasons before Pom Pom came to U$C, so he had to learn humility. He kind of had a Drew Olson type resurrection in his final year and saved his career. He is no Matt Whineart.

Carson is...
a far better human being that Leinart ever was, is, or will be.

While I don't have a whole lot of love for Carson, he is a solid QB who's obviously quite dedicated to his craft, and one of the more porfessional players on the Bengals (yes, I freely admit that's not saying a whole lot, but you play with the cards you're dealt).

I like Carson Too!
So he went to SUC, damn I can't hold that against him for the rest of his life. He works hard and never gets in trouble. I never see him at Suc sidelines, or bragging about USC. You can't blame him for who is on his team. He isn't the general manager.
Yes he went to a inferior college, but he is damn good quarterback. He is nothing like USC players nowadays.

Carson may be a nice guy and all
but I just don't trust the character of Trojan Heisman winners. Case in point:
