Top Recruit Nears Decision

Donovan Warren, a Rivals 5 star CB recruit from Long Beach Poly is set to make his decision. Warren took in home visits from both UCLA and Michigan this week and will announce his decision on signing day, February 1, this Thursday. His final four choices are UCLA, Michigan, Cal and USC.

Most project him committing to the Trojans, but also say it wouldn't suprise them if he choose UCLA or Michigan either. The 6'1'', 175 Warren runs a 4.4 40 and is considered one of the best athletes in the nation. Here is the link to the Rival's story.

Well is he really going to get that coaching from Dorrell? Doubt it. Plus, we all know Dorrell's track record with playing freshman and it will be even more difficult this year to crack the cornerback rotation with Trey Brown, Alterraun Verner and Rodney Van all returning.

Just to prove Dorrell's effectiveness (or lack thereof) though, Warren didn't even have UCLA up there until he met with Dwayne Walker. He was sypposedly very underwhelmed with his meeting with Dorrell. So it looks like UCLA may miss out on yet another top recruit, continuing Dorrell's streak of ZERO 5 star recruits out of high school in his past 3 classes.
