Like many of you I too have thought a lot about our QB situation, among other things. I think KD's continual attempt to "fight the odds" has gone from being possibly admirable to being completely pathetic. I'm not saying that it has been admirable in recent memory, but there was a time, at least I think so, when people could at the very LEAST give KD credit for not breaking down and giving up when things got bad. Now, however, his inability to cope with his failure has resulted in PHYSCAL injuries to MANY talented players AND emotional and pyschological injuries to MANY UCLA football fans. I can no longer have any respect for this fabled "nice guy." His disregard for individual players, the team, and the ENTIRE ucla community is truly sickening.
In regards to the QB situation, I have noticed that many of you still would like to see our bruins have the best possible chance of winning (considering that many of you want to see OR on the field. As do I.) However, as much as I want to see us play well with OR at the helm you also have to consider the alternative. What would happen if OR were to play exceptionally well and we actually won? What if KD then decides to keep OR at QB every week in order to save his ass? I am fully aware that our upcoming schedule is VERY tough and that it would take more than just one player to win. But as many of you have also noticed, the team plays differently when PC is in the game. I am also very aware that by not having OR in the game KD would be forced to burn CF's redshirt if BT was injured or sucked, and that there's also the possibility of injury with CF.
I would HATE to see this happen. CF looks very promising, especially under the leadership of an actual coach. With that said, what would in fact be worst? OR plays his heart out and wins, KD keeps him, and OR continues to win games or KD goes with BT, BT does terrible or gets injured and then uses CF? What do you think?
