Your Rubber-Stamp Campus rag airs you out about the ill-treatment you've shown to a scholarship-athlete. Don't look now! The DB is in revolt... yeah right."What has been done to Osaar Rasshan is a crime against humanity."
Shot across the bow? Campus riot? Hardly, more like a 19-year old rehabber taking his first few steps toward recovery. But anyway, after years of complacent, party line towing in the face of the ruinous football reign of Karl Dorrell, the Daily Bruin's Adam de Jong took up what could only be termed a "defense" of would-be UCLA QB Osaar Rasshan.
Referring to the series of injuries suffered by Ben Olsen and backup QB Pat Cowan, de Jong added that the unfortunate (unforgivable) QB crisis during last week's match against the winless Irish of Notre Dame
In a true test of bounds, de Jong goes on to -- ahem -- "boldly" point out that "...[the] mismanagement of Rasshan's talent reflects a lot about the chaotic direction of the UCLA football program.
Wow. Seriously, these must be dangerous times at the DB. There's more (glaring understatements)!"After UCLA's first six games, Rasshan hadn't seen much playing time and hadn't yet caught a pass."
In 2.5 Seasons as a Scholarship Player, Osaar Rasshan has taken exactly ZERO snaps in a college game for the school and logged exactly 00:00:00 on the field of play in his 30-games on the roster.
If this were anything but Division I Football, it would be enough to make a Fan cry. Can you even BEE-LEEVE the way these kids fall on the media sword for their miserable coward of a coach? I mean, it's not like the Karl the Jellyfish has EVER uttered the words "I" or "MY" or "ME" when it comes to being accountable for HIS team's horrible performances.
Disgusting. KD is truly the "dubya" of college football.
"Tell me again coach. What exactly do you have against me again?!?!?"
This Great, Gifted Kid and his family certainly deserve better than Karl Dorrell.
