I just moved here
but I guess I could still spread the word to the cashier at Albertson's and the mail lady :)

You're engaged!
No more talking to the mail lady!

Business only.  :)

The Wooden Classic?
Believe it or not, I cannot make it.  It's an easy drive for us up to Anaheim, but the wife's best friend is celebrating her 40th birthday that weekend and the celebration is up in Northern California, which is where we will be.

So, I'm bummed but we cannot make it.  I imagine the place is going to be very well-stocked with Bruin fans.

From what I can recall from the distant past
women don't "celebrate" their 40th birthday.  The encounter it, or endure it, but they don't exactly celebrate it.

Lol
That is true enough.  Actually, unofficially, we will likely be honoring her "28th" birthday or something like that.

My wife refuses to admit that she is not 29 anymore.  However, once a year, on one regular date, we honor her 29th birthday.

Too bad!
I'll be taking my lady! And I'll try not to laugh when I think about where you'll be stuck ;)

Are you going to make it
to any remaining football games this year?  Did you make it to the Cal game?

by Barnes2JJ on Oct 26, 2007 1:20 PM PDT up reply actions

I doubt it
I will actually be in Sand Diego on Nov. 10th when we play ASU, and in San Luis Obispo on the 24th when we play Oregon. That's why I have to go to the Wooden Classic for sure!

That's San Diego
Sand Diego is neither a city nor a beach...

At least you didn't write
Sandy Eggo.  Believe it or not, I've seen it written that way.

Tangentially Related
Has anyone checked out the prices for UCLA tix on StubHub this season?  It's out of control!  Last year, I bought a set of baseline seats for the UCLA/SC game for around 125 each.  This year, the exact same seats are $600 each.  Someone else has listed tickets for that game at 2 grand a pop!

Even the friggin' preseason games have tickets going for over a hundred each.

Last year, I was able to take my son to a handful of games.  It's going to be rough this year.

Such I suppose is the price of greatness.....and greedy ticket brokers.
