No HD for UCLA games

Does anyone understand the reason why we cannot watch UCLA basketball games in High definition on cable television? I live very close to the UCLA campus. I am a cable subscriber and every year I hope that cable company (now Time Warner) to provided Fox Sports Network High definition channel. But even this year, I am told it is not available. I am willing to pay extra for whatever it costs so I can have the option of receiving that channel. In the meantime not only you can watch all meaningless basketball games from the east coast on DSPN in high definition, but also a variety of psuedo sport games such as Lawn Bowling and trout fishing.
This is one of those reasons I wish PAC 10 had given ESPN a chance to make an offer for the TV coverage, the picture quality on ESPN HD is wonderful.

It is so sad that while we have arguably the #1 rated basketball team in UCLA bruins, we still have to settle for analog broadcast. Please join me in letting Time Warner know that we deserve better, and that as local UCLA fans we demand High definition broadcast of UCLA basktetball games. I am planning on complaining to people in Time Warner starting today, until I can get an explanation from someone in the company.

TW Special HD Channel

For Time Warner in the Valley, there is a special channel called TWCHD (413) that broadcasts certain HD programming, including FSN stuff. It sometimes doesn't show up in the schedule, but does broadcast nonetheless. I recall it doing so for at least some of the games last year. Hope this helps.

rainbow!

The last time I checked that channel, it was just a constant rainbow display, (Beverly Hills area) I have called TW to see if that will change soon. No results as of yet, but there is some hope. Thanx for the hint though.,

TW Rainbow...

The channel does come up in rainbow when there is nothing on it, which is most of the time. You kind of have to just get into the habit of checking it when something is on Fox West to see if they have it in HD on 413. It usually doesn't show up on the schedule even when something is on there. I would not be surprised if some hoops games made it on HD this year.
If I am not mistaken the Oregon State football game a few weeks back was on 413 in HD.

if you can,

switch over to Direct TV. They have both Fox Sports channels in HD as part of its basic HD package.

UCLA HD Basketball Games

There are a number of FSN UCLA b-ball games that are broadcast in HD. I live in Redondo and I recall getting quite a few of them last year on FSN HD (413).

And of course, most games broadcast on CBS are also in HD.
