or playing the race card, he's letting the media do it for him. Of course this makes him look more sympathetic than if he were to publicly state these things so he keeps his mouth shut and doesn't deny anything with quotes where we hear it's his fault. Instead he laughs and says, "It's been an interesting year," then laughs again. We all know what he's implying yet we're supposed to believe the media when they report that Karl is not making excuses due to the injuries?
Kurt Streeter says Dorrell takes the blame for the Utah and Notre Dame losses but there's not one quote from him as to why or how. However, we do get quotes from Dorrell when it comes to the race card and injuries and although he doesn't state it directly we all know what he means yet Streeter says Dorrell isn't playing the race card or making excuses due to injuries. Are you still following because I'm not.
Dorrell has the audacity to say he has to accomplish more to earn the same respect as others that accomplish less, whatever that means. Never being a head coach at any level and getting the head job at UCLA seems to me he accomplished less, much less to earn the right to a job that wasn't given to others that had accomplished much more.
Lastly I know the injuries have been discussed ad nauseam but once again: Utah was injured not us, 38 point loss; Notre Dame was playing us EVEN with Ben in there and it was a home game. The fact that Navy beat ND shows that we should've beat them had our entire second string played the whole game. This doesn't even include the botched OR decision in that game or the numerous terrible calls. We had no injuries in the Washington State game since many in the media, probably Streeter included, think Cowan should be our starter. Mind you we got blown out in all of these three losses. You can make an injury excuse for Arizona but we did better once OR got in the game. We played ASU tough I'll give you that so what does that mean? That Dorrell should keep his job? Yes, we played one team tough!
I would like to know what UCLAhy has to say about Dorrell being a class guy now.
