An "Inside Scoop" on the Leading Candidate Thus Far

This tid bit of information comes courtesy of Brian Doh!, so take it for what it's worth. It was posted this morning. Here's the link:

"I'm hearing from several sources in college and the NFL that Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Rick Neuheisel is the leading candidate..." What a load of crap! I love how he feels the need to add that little jab at the end. Clearly, Neuheisel is not Dohn's favorite candidate. We're all very much aware of his push for Dynomite DeWayne. The tone and phrasing of this post confirms it once again. He even title's the post "Coaching Thing," so as to connote disinterest. Sure, now that his buddy Dynomite is no longer the leading candidate this coaching search is just a "thing." Boo hoo. I hope RN is hired and he denies Dohn the "insider access" he covets so much. What a tool.

On another note, I hope this tid-bit IS true. Not that Neuheisel is my first choice, but at least it would demonstrate that the UCLA administration is FINALLY prying away from its old hiring habits. Despite Slick Rick's past, I have a feeling that he might do well here. He loves this school and he has ALL the tools he needs to turn this program around (nice facilities, large recruiting base, and administrative support from DG and Block). Plus, DG and Block are smart men. I'm sure they're well aware of his past and will do everything they can to keep on him on track if he's hired. Like I said, I'd much rather see someone like Peterson, Mendenhall, or Leach take the reigns, but I wouldn't be disappointed with Neuheisel.
