Collison sprained his ankle; listed as probable
It's a "Grade I sprain," which is characterized by the following:
Mild tenderness and swelling
Slight or no functional loss (i.e., patient is able to bear weight and ambulate with minimal pain)
No mechanical instability (negative clinical stress examination)
Moderate pain and swelling
Go, fight, win. UCLA, Fight Fight Fight.
Ben Howland is my homeboy.
Go Bruins!

I was feeling happy too.... ESPN had a poll saying "Which #1 seed will lose first? Florida, UNC, Kansas, or UCLA?"
Well, gents
No one said this was going to be easy.
Let's hope all our guys (including DC and Shipp) can suck things up for Weber State. One game at a time.
We know this - Ben will not let them quit, no matter what. DC might be "nicked up" as the NFL guys say, but Ben isn't.
Remember 1995?? How about 2006??
I mean Tyus, BEFORE THAT.
I mean Tyus falling hard on his wrist the FIRST HALF against Big Country and Okla. State, yet still taking it to, up and over Bryant Reeves the rest of the game.
I mean Tyus running an Olympic-track-meet break against Connecticut despite sporting taped ankles and those little knee-band thingies.
I mean Tyus scoring over Missouri despite (IIRC) nursing ankle sprains all season, INCLUDING the Tournament
Or if that's too far back, how about JORDAN FARMAR running point for this team all the way to the Championship Game last year, despite spraining BOTH ankles during the year, and never being able to have them fully recover?
OR, MAYBE EVEN CEDRIC BOZEMAN playing as one of our two toughest, most relentless perimeter defenders, despite a HIGH ankle sprain and a separated shoudler that healed IN THE SUMMER.
If nothing else, GUESS WHAT? This could FORCE Darren to play the game more WITH HIS HEAD, and look to involve others right away, rather than over-dribble.
OR... since it's still the first-round, then there's no better time to give Russell Westbrook more playing time, and thus have DC rest. TELL ME this kid is not itching for a chance to prove that WVU was just temporary growing pains, and to show how far he's come in a month.
HAVE FAITH, BRUINS. I freely admit mine flattered a bit 10 minutes ago, BUT I'M BACK.
HAVE FAITH.
