Track and Field dual meet VS SuC
The Bruin men lost for the first time in five years, 84-79, while the lady Bruins dominated the Trojans 98-65. (All text from the track website)
The Women's win was the FIFTEENTH straight over the Trojans. The meet saw the Bruins sweep four events (800m, 5000m, pole vault and high jump), improve on regional qualifying marks and pick up new regional qualifiers throughout the day. Several Bruins also improved on their national rankings with strong performances on Saturday.
Mens meet: The meet proved full of dramatics and excitement as USC held a predominantly large lead throughout the meet. But, the Bruins charged back, sweeping several events, while a DQ in the intermediate hurdles by a Trojan runner helped pull the Bruins to within reach. With the score tied at 79 all after the triple jump, the meet title was to be decided in the final event of the meet - the 4x400m relay. USC pulled out the win, giving the Trojans their first victory over the Bruins since 2001 by a score of 84-79.
