Compare & Contrast

They have this guy:

Snoop Dogg high-fiving the (alleged) sex criminals (AP Photo/Reed Saxon)

While we have her:

Yes that is Jessica Alba seen with Cash Warren, the son of Bruin legend Mike Warren.

Well done Cash. Well done.

Snoop Dog v. Jessica Alba.

I rest my case.

GO BRUINS.

Now, Nestor
Sometimes I think that I spend all my free time making sure things stay fair and unbalanced here at the BN.

It's not just Snoop Dogg (I'm not sure of his real name, but it's on his rap sheet) against Jessica Alba.  There's many more comparisons that are fairer to justsc, and we are always fair here at the BN.

I mean, we have Rafer Johnson or Arthur Ashe, and they have OJ Simpson.  No, wait, I guess that was a bad choice.

OK.  We have Jackie Robinson.  They have "White Nation."  Hmm.

Well, they had a guy placed on academic probation once.  (Of course, no one remembers his name because he was a fourth stringer and his daddy did not contribute a new wing to the engineering building.)

Oh, well, UCLA vs justsc.  I guess I rest my case, too.

I guess "not seen" with Warren
is more accurate from that picture. Not that that's what I'd be focusing on anyway...

Well done indeed.

Correction
I'm sorry to say that there has been a mistake.  The arm around Miss Alba is mine, not Cash Warren as reported.  He was taking the picture of us, so I can see how this mistake could have been made.

Joe, be careful
If your arm came within 100 yards of that young lady, it would fall off and you know it.  In fact, I can see my arm starting to fall off now, just looking at that picture.

And just speaking off the top of my head...
... I know we also have Gabrielle Union as an alum (with honors) with a Sociology degree.

Unfair comparison
It doesn't get much better than Jessica Alba. That is just unfair.

She would look good in any color (almost)!

WELL DONE!!!
This was just picked up by SI.com!!! Check it out!

*ahem*
Sorry guys... but I think she is playing us both...

Nice try
Celebrities wear baseball caps to blend in and go unnoticed. What better way to go unnoticed than wearing a cap from an inconsequential academic institution?

Agreed
and for the record: Girlfriend of son of Bruin Legend > Hat

GG, thanks for playing.

Lost a bet
or took a dare. That's what happened.

No way she's wearing that willingly. It's unthinkable!

I wouldn't put too much cred on Snoop Dog
He's the biggest bandwagon celeb I've seen.  He was at a number of Ducks games this year, and I doubt he had seen a hockey game in his life before this season.  If I see him at a Galaxy game when Beckham arrives, it will solidify my theory.

So did she ever go to school at UCLA?
Just wondering... are we claiming her for dating a bruin, or because she is a bruin.

by joeb @ Bruins Nation on Jun 15, 2007 2:30 AM PDT reply actions

We are claiming her ...
because she is in a serious relationship with a Bruin (unlike the bandwagoning tool from South Central).

by Nestor on Jun 15, 2007 5:08 AM PDT up reply actions

Or is it because
so many other Bruins want to date her (including many old enough to be her father or grandfather)?

by Fox 71 on Jun 15, 2007 5:10 AM PDT up reply actions

She's trying to claim both sides
http://fannation.com/blogs/post/20590

"I recently ran into the lovely Jessica Alba at a party being thrown at the Tower Grove Villa, a $25 million mansion nestled in Beverly Hills. She was there with her boyfriend Cash Warren and Baron Davis, enjoying an old school vs. new school DJ battle before the 2007 MTV Music Awards. While Warren's father, Michael, and Davis were UCLA basketball greats I asked her if she was a Bruins fan or a Trojans fan at heart.

"That's actually a really hard question," she said. "My father is the biggest USC fan. He loves the Trojans. If he even sees someone wearing a USC shirt he goes up to them and starts a conversation so I grew up cheering for USC. I guess I'll say I'm a USC football fan and a UCLA basketball fan. Is that OK?"

Normally I'd say no, but for Jessica Alba, I think we can make an exception. "

Then again ...
That Arash dude is a TrOJie and a former Daily Trojan "reporter." I wouldn't put too much stock in a TrOJie's reporting who is now trying hard to make this look for his side.

by bluestreet on Jun 15, 2007 10:23 AM PDT up reply actions

In truth
I really don't care about Jessica Alba's allegiance. Arash put her on the spot so she might have been trying to be diplomatic. The dude is a Reggie Bush apologist and I am no fan of his. Whatever.

Jessica Alba
Horrible actress. Overrated looks. A terror on set.

"I guess I'll say I'm a USC football fan and a UCLA basketball fan. Is that OK?"

No, that's not OK.

We don't need her supporting UCLA. I could care less what that eventual porn actress thinks.

Of all the people of merit that actually do support UCLA or went there, why pick this ho?

by True Blue and Gold on Jun 15, 2007 10:53 AM PDT reply actions

Sheesh kid
relax dude. I think everyone is having a little fun.

by bluestreet on Jun 15, 2007 12:02 PM PDT up reply actions

Overrated looks?
True B, if her looks are overrated, then I really want to hang out with you and see some women who would be qualify as actually being attractive.  Although my heart might not be able to take it.

by Fox 71 on Jun 15, 2007 2:34 PM PDT up reply actions

One more question
Do you have any "terror on the set" stories?  Frankly, those sorts of stories are more interesting than her "half Bruin, half trOJan" response to the question.

(And if you REALLY want to read about a terror on the set, look up Kathleen Battle and her antics at the New York Metropolitan Opera.  The season she got fired, the chorus had t-shirts made that said "I survived the Battle of the Met."  I don't know if she was the worst diva of all time, but she has to be right up there.)

by Fox 71 on Jun 15, 2007 2:37 PM PDT up reply actions

I hear it all the time
more than most young celebs (ok maybe not as much as Lohan and gang).

www.laineygossip.com/ArticleList.aspx?ID=4441

That kind of thing doesn't happen with real actresses like Natalie Portman.

B list actress at best.
