Tailback Moody to transfer

Apparently Uncle Pete over at the University of South Central can't keep his 10 running backs happy and Emmanuel Moody has decided to transfer:

Tailback Emmanuel Moody, USC's second-leading rusher last season, will transfer to another school, several sources said Wednesday.

Moody is one of three USC tailbacks who appear on the regional cover of Sports Illustrated's college football preview edition. But amid continuing speculation that a 10-deep position group would cause one or more tailbacks to transfer, the sophomore from Texas was a no-show at practice and at evening team meetings.

Coach Pete Carroll declined to comment.

Moody could not be reached for comment, but he said last week that he "felt forgotten" coming into training camp because of an ankle injury that forced him to sit out the Trojans' last four games and a hamstring injury that caused him to sit out nearly all of spring practice.

Moody had looked good in the first week, but he suffered a knee bruise in Sunday's scrimmage at the Coliseum and did not practice Monday or Tuesday.

Moody did not attend Wednesday morning's walkthrough. Afterward, when most players retire to the dorms to nap, Moody walked the campus talking on his cellphone.

After the Trojans began practice, Moody walked toward the dorm in a T-shirt and shorts. Asked if he was off to see a doctor, Moody said he was going to fill out paperwork and would have more tests on his knee.

**My bruin heart tells me no but my mind can't help but think what a great addition Emmanuel Moody would be to the UCLA squad.  He would immediately become the number one running back on the depth chart and help our team in the coming years.  Think about how great it would be see Uncle Pete's face when Moody plays against the Trojans and racks up 200 yards and 3 touchdowns in powder blue and gold.  Anybody know about transfer rules?  Would he have to sit out this year?  Again it's just a thought.**

If, for sake of argument, Moody wanted to transfer to UCLA, he would have to sit out 2 years; 1 year for transfering to another 1-A school, and an additional year for an inter-conference transfer. At the point at which he would be eligible, Moody would be a Senior, or Redshirt Junior (if a redshirt can be burned for one of those years, of this I do not know).

The odds are extraordinarily against
him transferring to UCLA.  The first thing that would have to happen is that the coaching staff would have to be aware of him and that he was moving out from justsc.  I'm confident that unless he was from Crenshaw High, no one on the Bruin coaching staff has any clue about what he's doing.

And I don't know if I want him, anyway.  When Rod Sherman transferred from UCLA to justsc, I hated his guts.  I don't know if I could get behind a guy who thought it would be nice to set foot on that alleged campus.

PAC-10 Transfer Rules
See below link...if Moody wants to be in Westwood, looks like he can be there in only one year.

What makes you think he would start here?
He'd be pretty rusty compared to Raymond Carter, Milton Knox, and Aundre Dean.
