New Blog?

Looks like the Press Enterprise and their beat writer (Kevin Pearson) are getting into the blog act. I don't see it listed, so I wasn't sure if people were aware of it.

PE.com's UCLA Blog

He generally does a pretty decent job covering us, and his take is usually not the same old company line.

This particular entry stood out to me:

August 15, 2007

Typical UCLA....
A year ago, the facilities people at UCLA managed to water the grass on the IM field every morning just before the football team went to practice. The result was a muddy field, and an unhappy team.

Well, UCLA is having its first night practice, and guess what? The sprinklers just came on over at the grass portion of Spaulding Field. Not going to say its a fitting scenario, but....

Dohn's blog if you haven't been checking recently is great and he has been taking questions once a week.  If not for the Nestor impersonator it would be close to perfect.

The LA Times What's Bruin blog has been a good addition with lots of good Bruin related material.

One thing I learned from his site is the creation of the new Bruin Kids Club for kids under 13.  Lots of cool UCLA stuff for the young ones and they will have a sign up at the scrimmage on Saturday.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

You are right about Pearson. I don't read him all the time but his observations are not always towing the company line, which is good.

Thanks for pointing this out to me. Please do not hesitate (this goes for everyone else) to post stories, notes that I or other are missing on the front page or in the diaries. I track Dohn and Perleman's blogs all the time. But I use my discretion on what to link or not to link. However, if you think there are entries of from those blogs that are worthy of specific attention, by all means please write about them here.

Its not possible for few people to cover everything. Lets make this a community exercise and keep each other informed. It will make all of us better UCLA fans.

I will get Pearson's blog listed on our blogroll.

Enjoy the scrimmage today!

Another note
I took the liberty to go into your post and add in codes for hyperlinks and blockquotes.

If you click on edit diary you will see the codes I used for your future reference. Thanks.

Thanks for fixing this for me.
I'll definately have to play with the edit codes.  Just sent you a couple of picts from the scrimmage.

Cool, you got them!
I also have a shot of the new turf and the old turf from the top of lot 6.  Man, the old stuff looks shot already.  Any interest in those?
