Around SBN: Cal RB Jahvid Best Seriously Injured, Carted Off Field

No, no, KD, you can't do this

  • KD is now furious back-peddling, saying that he has always believed that this team is not as good as others say it is.  Then he blames the players for being over-ambitious in publicly declaring their lofty goals, goals which are not his own.  I am sure that others could find past KD quotes to expose KD as a liar in this latest back-peddling.  However, there is no disputing that he has said that this was his best team.  In his 5th season and with his best team, if KD still gets blown out by a previously winless, bottom-feeder like Utah, then we can only conclude that this joker's "best" equates to "mediocre" by overall college football standards.
  •  KD says that he won't be "sorrowful" over the Utah blow-out.  Excuse me, KD, but the entire UCLA football community is still wheeling over this latest embarrassment, and you're damn right everyone is still sorrowful about it.  How about showing some pain, some empathy for the way Bruin fans feel right now, instead of saying -- let them be sorrowful, but not me.  Well, F**K you, your inept coaching caused this gloom.  You walked into a china shop and shattered every piece of merchandise, and you cannot say -- I'm not going to be sorrowful about this.
A coach with an ounce of integrity would not say such things.  KD does not own up.  He is a spineless weasle, looking for the quickest exit to extricate himself from his own mess.  This is why I have zero respect for this joker.

I feel the worst
for the seniors on the team.

This team was supposed to contend for a National Championship.  Everything was in place.  20 returning starters.  Very favorable schedule.  Etc. Etc. Etc.

Boys and girls, there is no way that this team is going to win any championships this year.  Oh, statistically, it could happen, you've got me there.  But it ain't gonna happen.  Three games into the year and we are spinning down the drain.

The seniors are the ones who got screwed here.  For whatever reason, they decided to go to UCLA, and bless them for making that decision.

They will never taste any championship while they are here.  They should give Dorrell back his bracelets and ask for a mulligan.

Blown to smithereen
-Undefeated season
-BCS championship
-BCS bowl appearance
-Top-10 ranking

Oh, yes, these were not HIS goals -- but the goals of his delusional players -- so why shouldn't he sleep well at night?

I guess KD thinks
that he did everything that he could.  He is making no mistakes.  If the players and other coaches would just do what he tells them to do, then we would win.

So, let me get this straight...
KD denies he ever mentioned anything about national championship, or even Pac10 championship as his goal.

If I understand correctly, then KD's only expressed goal for this season is to "Make a Move"!!!

After watching the Utah game, I think every Bruin fan went and fulfilled that goal

A get well game for the Huskies.
It's up the hill, down the hill or around the mulberry tree. I don't know which but I'll be there at kick-off Saturday night.
I am totally confused about our Bruin Team. The squads are talented, the school is extremely supportive and we the fans are still there.Saturday night should be a show case on
how the Bruins (KD) responds to loss at Utah.
Washington has lost what eight straight games to UCLA. The UW fans see the up coming game as a get well game for Huskies. The Huskies are going to come out with balls a flying, a winning attitude and with vengeance on their mind.
It is sad that Big Ben is still suffering from headaches and will not start Saturday night. Perhaps the young man needs a break from the pressures that comes with being coached by KD. If so then it is a sorry scenario that KD has perpetrated all those involved in the game.
KD has generated so much consistent hype at I don't what to expect from our young men in blue and gold.
The one staying positive is that the true Bruin fans have is a winning attitude at kick-off.

You know what? I just don't care
any more.  CTS gets plenty of sleep, has his clothes neatly pressed, gets his game face on (i.e., he practices staring into truck headlights) and watches while his team does whatever it's going to do.  He doesn't care, and I don't care.  I just want this season to be over.

If I lived in LA, I wouldn't go to the game.  I think it's going to be televised back here in Tampa, but I'm not interested enough to check.  I'll find out after the game whether we won or lost.

I've seen lots of posts on whether it's OK to root for UCLA to lose so that we will be finished with this person.  I just want this season to end with there being no question that the man who set back Bruin football for decades is gone.  If that means we win no more games, then that is what I'm rooting for.  I have no more interest in this sort of UCLA football.  This sort of UCLA football is a joke.
