Good lord
Do these guys weigh like a combined 250 pounds?

I think it was a joke...
But a joke in poor taste perhaps.

A joke in 'poor taste'?
Just like featuring facebook groups w black baby in chain and swastika ... Right?

What's your problem with OJ?
He was acquitted! Just like all those other USC players...

by SuperBruinMan on Sep 27, 2007 7:14 PM PDT reply actions

For the record
Winston Justice, and Rey Mauluga were charged and convicted.  Reggie Bush is a slime ball, but technically didn't break the law.  As far as the rapists are concerned, they were never charged so technically they can't be aquitted.  But they all still got off after raping someone so that sucks.

Totally tasteless, classless, vulgar...
Of all the causes out there for these idiots to advocate, they chose this one.  They have absolutely no concept of the significance of their statement.

by bluegold on Sep 27, 2007 7:34 PM PDT reply actions

Explain again
why you're surprised at something classless coming from justsc?

by Fox 71 on Sep 27, 2007 7:52 PM PDT reply actions

I was watching Daily Show
and they were talking about OJ.

They said since the first one was a murder, and it was

"If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit."

and this one is a robbery, the defense should say

"If it really was his shit, you must acquit."

haha what a joke oj

Looks like a photoshop to me
looks like they are on the side of a basketball court and their size relative to the people right behind is not even close.

by MOlson on Sep 27, 2007 8:15 PM PDT reply actions

Hmmm
Could be, but I don't think so.

Look, kids in college do dumb things.  They probably think this is a very funny, ha-ha joke.  But the guy is a double murderer and just about cut his wife's head clean-off.  It wasn't funny when they were getting killed and it won't ever be funny to the families.

Even though we all do stupid things (and perhaps do even dumber things while in college), I find it hard to joke about an unremorseless, sociopathic double murderer.  If this is real, it is beyond tasteless.

by Barnes2JJ on Sep 27, 2007 9:04 PM PDT up reply actions

i don't disagree....
that it is stupid, and something that SC students would do.  I too have been stunned how many fans at the Mosileum still wear OJ jerseys.

Not to legitimize these kids, but it was 13 years ago that he killed the two and 11 years since the acquittal.  Kids in college don't remember the chase and trial and evidence (pictures of two people nearly decapitated).  I'm sure I have made some Son of Sam jokes that would be offensive to residents of Manhattan in 77.

Regardless, if you look at the picture, it looks like a fake to me.  It looks like the kids are cropped.  The lighting and focus are not consistent between the idiots and background.  Also it looks like they are sitting on the end of a scorers table from a basketball court rather than the sideline of the Coliseum.

by MOlson on Sep 27, 2007 9:32 PM PDT up reply actions

Fair points
And it does, indeed, look like a scorers table.

by Barnes2JJ on Sep 27, 2007 9:52 PM PDT up reply actions

As much as I would like...
to think that this was a Photoshop job, and that these kids couldn't possibly be that idiotic, I don't think this is a doctored image. The lighting and reflections around their heads correspond perfectly with the stadium lighting. Also the proportions seem to be about right relative to the other people.

Perhaps they thought they were being funny. Such is life at $C though. Pretty much anything goes... Sad.

Hmmm
It could be padding on the wall.  A few years ago a receiver was injured running into the wall at the Rose Bowl, and the next week there was padding up there.  Perhaps they did the same thing at the Coliseum.

I don't think their size is unrealistic, though the light on them is odd.

Odd Topic But...
Does anyone know the status of Shannon Tevaga...is he going to be out for the rest of the year?

Maybe they were
giving away free orange juice?

Or they might be like this guy
the toothless wonder who keeps interrupting OJ's lawyer:
