Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

U$C's Daniel Hackett: "We feel like we have a chance to take over the conference"

Must read an interview Hackett did with si.com, in it he thinks that they can take over the Pac10 this year...riiiiiiiiight. I won't say anything to pop his bubble, but if they feel that they are going to take over the conference I have a feeling they are in for quite a surprise this year. Anyways, click on the link above for the entire interview if you want to check it out.

Thanks 34

for moving this blurb around to FanShot section. Keeping shorter blurbs/links posts in this section allows information to be highlighted in more organized and efficient manner in BN. Thanks again and keep it coming.

Huh?

Blockquoted paragraph We’re playing well, we’ve been in the tournament, now we want to make a statement that we’re an elite program, just like them

2 recent appearances (only one of which went anywhere) doesn’t make an elite program. Academic probations don’t make for an elite program. Lil Romeo definitely isn’t gonna make an elite program. They have a ways to go, but I can see the competition getting tighter. I like that.

LW: When you said, earlier, that some teams in the Pac-10 would do anything to win, did you mean UCLA?

DH: They do anything to win. It gets chippy, there’s a lot of trash-talking, a lot of elbows, but in the end, we all know each other and we’re all cool with each other. But on the court it’s war. I don’t even look at anybody’s face. I just do whatever it takes to win.

Maybe we’re serious about winning on the court but we don’t have an OJ2 scandal . So maybe we won’t do ANYTHING to win. I don’t see the boys losing one to them this year.

How hypocritical of him

I seem to remember a lot of dirty fouls on their part last year and the year before. Especially by that big Frankenstein looking center of theirs. I forgot his name. He left early to play in the NBA but landed in Europe instead.

Hey TrOJays

Check your calendars,

because it’s almost BASKETBALL SEASON and until our football team is rebuilt, it’s time for you to lose and us to win.

Queue up behind us.

Are they moving out of the conference?

I hear the WAC is looking to be “taken over”.

He's free to think what he wants.

But, I’ll be happy to remind him how wrong he is when we prove it to him on the court and in the standings.
