What happened to that? We’ve gotten a lot better since the beginning of the season, but we’re not as disciplined as we were early.

At this point, give Forcier the last 9 minutes
see what he can do. Not like we are gonna do much with a 21 point deficit now
that was a 20 second drive by Cal
If Craft comes back out.. whats the over/under on their next drive?
It's not all on Kraft. We are so 1 dimensional that we force a weak player to carry the entire load
He’s a 3rd string player.
Our first string players are not playing better than him.
sjh
It's not all on Craft
The QB almost always gets more credit than he deserves, on both good and bad plays. But he is throwing into coverage, if that ball wasn’t tipped it would still have been interceptions.
You are so right about that.
will it deflate Forcier to take the helm with that in mind?
I agree. We have no running game and no pass protection
Until the line gets resolved, we are going nowhere on offense.

by Minnesota Bruinfan on Oct 25, 2008 3:45 PM PDT up reply actions
he doesn't throw accurately ever
and he is inconsistant with his judgements on who to throw to. Drew Olsen actually didn’t throw the ball accurately to receivers, but he picked the right throws to make, and he had receivers who could catch anything he put near them. so, even if the threw high or low, he didn’t throw high or low into double coverage.

Dear Defense and Coach Walker
We’re sorry we’re so horrible.
Sincerely,
Kevin Craft and the offense.
well
ASU, OSU, and Washington are all beatable. Cal is better than all 3 of them and we were right in this.
we should never...
have been in this in the first place. craft threw about 5 passes that cal defenders just dropped. this EASILY could’ve been BYU all over again. so no, we were never in this or at least we shouldn’t have been.
at this point, we need to be thankful we have our defense and their staff. if i read another post or comment saying walker is overrated and our defense always uses the excuse of the offense letting them down…let’s face it – IT’s TRUE.
OSU is way better than KAL this year
I don’t think its even close.

Yes, Cal is a good team.
But, we are beating ourselves in so many ways. Delay of game, unsportsmanlike conduct penalties — Cal has nothing to do with that.

question for all you
i kind of want to see what forcier can do, but what good will that do us this season. Chow has convinced CRN not to bench Craft thus far, so who knows if he will bench him this season. At least by having Craft in the game hes getting reps in. But my question is, who are we going to play next year at QB? Can’t imagine Brehaut starting over Forcier or Craft, simply because he won’t have enough time to absorb the play bok.
Brehaut is coming in early though
I still think he has an outside chance to be the top QB. He is that good.
by trainwreck84 on Oct 25, 2008 3:50 PM PDT up reply actions
It may be that Forcier isn't as good as Craft in the coaches' eyes
And, until we have a solid O line, no QB will look good.
So, I think the coaches will decide whether to risk Brehaut after they have decided whether there is ANY QB who can have success behind the o line.
sjh
thats great that Tedford has had so many good qbs...but not this year or last
they just have a better supporting cast
The Thing That Bothers Me...
We just haven’t found a way to step up on the road this year. We’ve had some decent moments at home but on the road we find more and more ways to fall apart in the 2nd half. That’s where the next big step needs to be made.

u cant really blame this on the WR’s, i feel they are the one group that consistently made plays.
The receivers had drops and it looked like Everett ran the wrong route on a pick
They were the best group out there, but they struggled today too. Each and every group on the offense made a contribution to this loss.

We need to run it up on Kal when we get back on top
I can’t belive that Ahole tedford has vereen in with a 21 point lead. He is an ahole.

I don't feel the same way
about keeping the first string guys in. If you keep your first string defense in, they have all the right in the world to keep their first string offense in.
true
but you don’t throw for the endzone on 2nd down with 2 minutes left up 20 points
by bucknellbruin on Oct 25, 2008 3:59 PM PDT up reply actions
not when you are up by three scores with two minutes left

I agree
This is football, not little league tee-ball.
If you do not want them to run up score, then stop them!

and he's throwing when up by 21 and 2 minutes left
Tedford is a total Asshole. Overrated piece of shit. I can’t wait until we start beating the shit out of KAL again

The ball was on the 8 with 2 minutes to go and Tedford ran it the first play. I definitely bleed Blue and Gold, a darker blue and a deeper gold, but I don’t think that was running up the score. Kneeling it might have been seen as disrespectful and with Brian Price on the field that would have been unwarranted disrespect.

Yeah
That’s classic running up the score

Re. Craft
I really hope that people remember that Kevin is just a young guy who we’ve asked to do the near impossible. Every time I am about to be angry with him or throw my hands up in despair, I think of the sincerity of his smile when I thanked him for playing such a good game against Tenn. Please keep that in mind before you bash.
Word
I just can’t understand how he’s making those particular mistakes this far into the season.

Good night BN
My wife is throwing a Halloween party tonight. Now, not much is lamer than dressing when you’re an adult. But, she’s the wife, so with that, I gotta go get dressed.
This week was a lot closer than the score showed, and the D played pretty well. Better days are ahead. Hang in there, everyone.

Have fun
see ya next week

Ha
Slash (from the Gn’R days). It’s an easy job. Wig and a top hat. Sharpies for tatoos. And I have a gorgeous Les Paul that I’ll carry for a bit. Plus it’s a good excuse to get away with drinking a lot of Jack Daniels…“But honey, (burp, hold back vomit), it’s jussssh part of my character!”

I think this one's in the can
Are we at O-State next week?

Embree possibly
100 yard receiving.
Austin has 1 punt return for 35 yard and 7 kick returns for 202 yards

And that's a wrap.
I don’t know how to feel after this one. Tough one to chew on for the next 2 weeks. Man this one hurts. Not to whine – I am just FEEL for this team so much more than I ever have in the previous years.
Our players and coaches certainly didn’t deserve this.
this one is on KD
and our lack of talent and depth in the older class. I think the guys played hard and gave it their all, but we have too many holes to play 4 quarters and beat a team with more talented players.
This will all change, but lets keep supporting our boys who continue to play hard.
Go bruins!

I agree this one is on KD
While I agree this one is on KD (just ask yourself how many of the non-freshmen would play for any other Pac 10 school, save WSU), I must admit that after 32 excruciating quarters watching Craft, I have had it with him. If even half of the potential interceptions had been made and added to the ones he has thrown, we would be in record territory. He will NEVER lead us anywhere but the rare last minute victories over sub 500 teams. It is time to give Forcier the ball and let him learn on the job. It is obviousl that Craft is no better now than two months ago…
