A UCLA student, Krishna Rajaram, was murdered a few days ago. He was a member of my fraternity. Very sad story. The shocking nature as well as the suddenness of his passing has made it very hard on those who miss him. Best wishes to his family and friends in the healing process.

Heartfelt sympathies

for Krishna’s family and friends. He was a friend whom we had not had the chance to meet.

Wow

I saw this on the news and it was awful enough. Now there’s a Bruin connection too…

My condolences to those who knew and loved him and will obviously miss him.

What is this world coming to?

I also saw a headline about this and passed over it, not wanting to be weighed down by it. Now I am doubly grieved by it. It’s always sad news to lose a member of the Bruin Family. But, the manner in which this happened is truly tragic.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Rajaram family. My sincerest hope is that we do not get more similar news as the economy continues to get worse.

Tragic

I saw this headline too and I kept reading because something similar happened down the street from where I grew up some 10-15 years ago. Turns out, this happened in the same neighborhood. It’s a very quiet neighborhood and it’s shocking that something like this could happen, twice. It’s even more unreal knowing that one of the victims was a young bruin. And over what? Financial troubles? I don’t know the extent of the troubles, and times are going to be tough, but there’s nothing more precious than health and family.

Just tragic

Deaths are never easy to take, but when someone is so young and their death is so preventable, it almost makes it too hard to bear.

AI07, please let us know if there will be any tributes or fundraisers of any kind.
