Our Ben Ball warriors don’t get any break after last night’s season opening blowout win.

Bruins take on Miami (OH) Red Hawks to in the second round of 2K Sports Classic Tournament. For a full scouting report on Miami (OH) check out the preview on Bruin Basketball Report. The winner of this game will get to play in the big show in the Big Apple next Thursday night.
The tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 pm PST. Once again it will be broadcast on ESPNU. You can track via the official site or this online channel.

I am trying to switch between the UCLA game and my Lutheran Lancers v Mater Dei! Nice shot BTW!
We cannot continue to shoot FT's so poorly.
I really don’t get it. Such talented players and we shoot 50% from th eline. They are at 100%

need to improve in that area. Get the early season jitters out of the way in these games and improve our consistency at the line.

our offense is really bad tonight
we can’t get anything going and our bigs can’t catch the ball. I’ve seen DC feed various big guys at least 3 or 4 times only to see the ball get kicked OB

Aboya needs to make those inside shots.
DC has to have confidence that when he sends the ball in we will score.

Announcers said Bramos wouldn't get 12 in the second half...
… well, he may get 20! We can’t guard him, and we have no defensive presence down low. Too bad we didn’t redshirt Lorenzo!!!
James should use that pump fake more often.
That was pretty effective, and at least it’ll keep him from hurrying too much.
BTW, this so far has not been a strong outing for him. He really was beaten badly on that last lay-up.

look... 3 final fours gives Howland plenty of GRACE.
I’m just sayin, I don’t like small schools even THINKING they can run with us.

mind that we typically wear the other team down. I think an analysis of the last 8 min’s of each game would be nice. I have a feeling we outscore our opponents by quite a large margin…

Our offense is starting to concern me ...
… not much movement, not much passing. It’s mainly Darren and Josh dribbling around looking for an opening to take it to the hoop. We’ve been bailed by some amazing shots.

just saw that drive by Hayes on the replay. I think someone needs to tell Aboya its okay to start being a little bit aggressive. Maybe even foul someone.

I just wanted a win...
…but looking at the stats, the inside game has me nervous. I couldn’t watch unfortunately but does anyone have any additional insight to assure me that we’re going to eventually be ok inside? I have the utmost faith in Howland so I’m sure we’ll be ok, but can Keefe,Aboya,Morgan,Gordon do what they need to do to get this team far in the tournament? I’ll hold my judgement until the season progresses and I get to actually watch them play. I can’t wait.
