Mitty High prepared Drew Gordon for UCLA

"Every time I walk into Pauley," Gordon said, "I say to myself, 'I've made it.' This is what I dreamed of in high school, but I never expected to play college basketball at this level. My intention when I was a freshman in high school was to play basketball and see where it took me."

As an Mitty alum (Class of '06)
I love that Mitty prepared Gordon well for UCLA. It appears that for the entire freshman class, academics was a huge part of their decision in coming here (along with tradition and Howland!). It’s great to see that we don’t need to stoop to SC’s low academic standards to get great basketball players.
