Lendale White - Class, Class, Class!
I'm not sure if anyone else out there was watching the Steelers/Titans game yesterday, but I thought this was a pretty classless move by Lendale White (henceforth referred to as "The Truffle Shuffler." ) and his crony, Keith Bulluck. As reported by ESPN:
Long after Tennessee dismantled Pittsburgh to clinch the top seed in the AFC, Titans coach Jeff Fisher finally saw the tape of players LenDale White and Keith Bulluck stomping on the Steelers' signature symbol, the Terrible Towel.
Apparently, Bill Cowher was none too pleased about the lack of respect shown by the USC "alum" towards his former organization:
"That looks like a pregame talk the night before to me," Cowher said, his eyes lighting up and his voice rising. "If [we'd] meet in the postseason, I know what I'm pulling out the night before the game."
Cowher admonished White by saying, "You've got to learn. ... I wouldn't do this, I wouldn't go there," and said Bulluck should know better because "you are a veteran, Bulluck."
As we all know, The Truffle Shuffler is a complete and utter dolt. Not only is he incredibly overrated as a tailback, but it's pretty obvious that he doesn't take his conditioning seriously...despite being paid millions of dollars by the Titans.
And don't even get me started on the other USC flops on the offensive side of the ball in the NFL (ie Matt Leinart, Mike Williams, Reggie Bush, etc.). Whether it be their excessive partying, legal troubles, or lack of sportsmanship...USC alums have shown over and over again that they are low quality individuals who are not worthy of representing any respectable franchise.
And before any USC trolls begin arguing that Reggie Bush isn't a flop, just look at his stats vs. his salary and draft position. The dude averages 3.7 yards per carry, hardly impressive numbers...and I'm pretty sure that the whole "Reggie Bush is a decoy that makes his teammates around him better" argument is dead in the water. See Pierre Thomas, an undrafted throw-away tailback who is lighting it up in New Orleans. Do you think the Saints would like to have that #2 pick back?
Rant over.

I saw it.
And it was much discussed in my little corner of the NFL Network. The general consensus is that Lendale White and company just guaranteed the Pittsburgh Steelers a win should they meet in the playoffs. A very probable likelihood.
As for Reggie Bush being a flop. You can add the fact that Mario Williams the guy drafted before him by the Houston Texans is going to the Pro Bowl this year. Looks like Houston was right after all.

the Bungals
as a UCLA alum, i hate SUC more than anyone. however, as a Bengals fan, i have to say that i’m thankful for Carson Palmer and Keith Rivers who are both solid players and solid individuals. of course i have to block out the fact that they’re trojans. i also didn’t mind the stomping of the terrible towels. i can’t stand the steelers, their fans and their dumb towels.
but lendale white and reggie dush are definitely trash. the texans defnitely made the right move by picking mario williams. what a great job by their scouting department. williams should have made the pro bowl last year as well. he’s a franchise player that has an impact on the game on every play (on defense). definitely worth a #1 pick unlike reggie dush. speaking of which, i just watched the 2006 Rose Bowl on ESPN classic. what a great moment seeing reggie dush trying to do too much by lateraling (if that’s a word). that game made my year. i love watching SUC lose as much as i love watching UCLA win. haha.

Steve Beuerlein
Wasn’t it Steve Beuerlein who commented on-air (although I think he thought he was not on the air) about “SC thugs” in reference to LenDale White?
White is really cementing his reputation. Of course, when the Great Humanitarian allows criminal psychotics like OJ to hang around the team during practice, that pretty much says all you need to know.

I don't think it was Beuerlein
But I remember that moment. It’s a CBS commentator that is a Notre Dame Alum. He called out Lendale for some cheap trick and it spread across Youtube overnight. A day or so later CBS had it pulled from Youtube.

It was Beuerlein
Check my previous post on ‘SC Thugs. Also, here’s the link to story identifying Beuerlein as the analyst that uttered the statement.

Talented Players Get To Choose...
They can become an articulate, uber-talented class act a la MJD, or a flabby, illiterate loser like Lendale.
I think that recently, an extremely talented TE prospect proved my point. ;-)
