Punter Chris Kluwe Plays WoW
Imagine my surprise when I was reading one of my favorite gaming websites and I see a headline about Chris Kluwe. Apparently, not only is he a master of Guitar Hero (we saw the videos here a while ago, you can probably search for it), but he is also a WoW addict :P Here's the article, here's his player card, and here's the application he filled out to join his guild:
Fun stuff.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

If Mr. T can play it...
I should have been a punter in HS.

Your mom plays WoW...
Sorry, couldn’t resist. But yes… awesome.
I just bought the new expansion, almost to 71! Woohoo! :-P

Ya gotta love the generation gap.
I have no idea what any of this stuff means. I know the old joke about the nude acrobat who painted an M on each cheek, and spelled out “WOW, MOM, WOW” as he did cartwheels.
But other than that, I don’t have a clue. (Or a Kluwe.)

Man i fell victim to this WoW addiction
and sadly, i understood much of what he was saying…very funny how nerdy he really is.
For any other people who went through any sort of gaming faze, gotta love “Wife Aggro” lol..

He is a very funny guy
I played high school football and baseball with Chris Kluwe. He was always a very nice guy with a good sense of humor. Glad to see him living the dream as he punts to support his video game habit.

For the Horde! and Go Bruins!
So cool to see a fellow Bruin playing WoW on the Horde side of things! (I have a 80 Tauren Druid on Kel’thuzad) I’m not really a Vikings fan or anything but I’m going to root for him from now on.
Go Bruins!

The irony of all of this
Is that it is actually the fault of prior UCLA graduates that current students have trouble with WoW and school/RL. The three founders of Blizzard Entertainment all came from UCLA:
Last year’s winner of the 2005 Professional Achievement Award, Jeff Lawrence, founder, president and CEO of Clivia Systems (BS ’79), this year presented the 2006 award to the founders of Blizzard Entertainment: Allen Adham(BS ’90), Michael Morhaime (BS ’90), and Frank Pearce (BS ’90). The three were honored for founding Blizzard Entertainment (originally Silicon & Synapse) in 1991, just a year after they received their bachelor degrees from UCLA Engineering. The company has since become one of the most successful game development studios in the world.
Blizzard is the studio behind the Warcraft and Starcraft franchises, the former drawing devotees from essentially the entire developed world and the latter could be said to be the official “sport” of South Korea.

After further review, the ruling on the field stands
I still have no idea what any of this means. Nice to start the New Year by being reminded of how out of touch I am with current events.
