Center Court: Ben Ball (Washington) Open Thread
Here we go. Almost game time.
Once agan our Ben Ball warriors take on a desperate team on the road who are going to come out and treat this game against UCLA as their national championship game of the season.
Bruins need to come out focused, poised, and composed. They will need to play their trademark defense, withstand an expected emotional onslaught from a dangerous Husky team, and keep things moving forward. In other words they need to follow his directions:

Remember that Shipp pass
Not showy, but important.

Where's Collison?
Why are Keefe and Drago getting so much PT? Is this due to Luc?
I've got no TV, no radio. Thanks

A crappy UDub
This game is LORENZO's and Cameron Dollar's
They circle this one during THE SUMMER!
Yeesh!

Time for a frosty cold one
We are taking very tough shots and missing
With KL on bench, or bad shots are not put back in
Awful
0 second chance points.

It's time for somebody to step up.

what was the ref calling for on collison?
would somebody explain the 5 second dribbling rule?

Gotta go play my roller-hockey game
I think our guys are getting hacked.
I think

Ref's are bad
We are not playing our D.
Offense is helter skelter.
Worst half I've seen us play this year.
35 points
One good half and we win
Collison and K Love need to play well.
Keefe and Drago have added little.
Starters plus LMR may need to carry us back.
A Grim First Half
What the hell is it about playing in Seattle?

Dragovic is killing me
These are the games
Totally agree
They are imposing their will on the game
We've had poor first halves before.
We came back.
We've been a second half team.
Somebody(ies) needs to step up.
I don't doubt that somebody will.

Love Will Carry Us
Missing put backs.
I think he'll power us through.
We can shoot poorly if KLove is there to put it back in. He will. He always does.
This is my concern
Good teams
Great teams manage to pull out games when they're having an off day.
Are we good or are we great?

Ben Howland
Bruins need to gather themselves
DC has already hurt the team with the T.
It's not the Refs
Love Getting Mugged No Call
We will have to overcome ref's too
No, I think there was a lot of off-camera...
For all not viewing live...
That's the way!
I really would like to see Mata-Real in there...
We're due
3 ball
Nice offenseive foul!

Wallace shooting fts
by melliott2 on Feb 10, 2008 3:01 PM PST reply actions
To Keefe's Credit
He's probably not 100% and would not play if we had Roll and Luc.
True. But he should stop taking 3s.
What the freaking hell.
by melliott2 on Feb 10, 2008 3:04 PM PST reply actions
Weak
How many ORebs
And how many 3s can we miss?
by melliott2 on Feb 10, 2008 3:06 PM PST reply actions
the refs aren't shooting the ball
by bruinofthenorth on Feb 10, 2008 3:08 PM PST up reply actions
Bruins 0-8 on 3 pointers so far
You complain about refs
by Ryan Rosenblatt on Feb 10, 2008 3:09 PM PST up reply actions
In what other game have I complained...
They just showed 4 no calls
I'd like to see the same no calls on us.
Haven't seen them yet.
Not protecting Love has been going on all season.
But, our players are losing the game -- the ref's aren't taking it from us.
Shitty shooting and bad rebounding
Wow
Marques Johnson is an ass.
No
by Ryan Rosenblatt on Feb 10, 2008 3:12 PM PST up reply actions
agree
I far prefer it that way. It has class.
by bruinofthenorth on Feb 10, 2008 3:17 PM PST up reply actions
No, I don't.
Truth hurts
Oh my god the stars have aligned
Just got home...
Geezus, we'd better take a deep breath and get something happening here.
Aboya and Shipp doubled on the baseline
With that kind of effort, DC doesn't deserve to be on the court.
by Ryan Rosenblatt on Feb 10, 2008 3:11 PM PST reply actions
One of the worst games
we're down
I agree that the refs are missing some calls. However, you'll look like a loser if you claim that cost us the game. That's why I like Howland -- he will congratulate the UW and move one... if we lose this one.
by bruinofthenorth on Feb 10, 2008 3:12 PM PST reply actions
They are missing obvious ones
I think Love is doing what he can at this point
Love is definitely battling.
by Dexter Fishmore on Feb 10, 2008 3:23 PM PST up reply actions
Explain this to me,
Especially when they are handling us on the boards and inside.
Perhaps

My apologies 66
D UP and Rebound!!!
DC, have faith, each shot is a new game. Look forward not back.
This is an embarrasing effort
Get a freaking defensive rebound.
Dentmon & Overton
THANK YOU, RW.
Come down and score
And the Lord sayeth
by melliott2 on Feb 10, 2008 3:41 PM PST reply actions
We need 2 stops and 2 scores.
Foul? ON WHAT PLANET?
Haha
How do you hold with both hands up?
Isn't that what the walk-ons are for?
Throwing hte ball off a guy's nose...
We didn't deserve to win
I'm most disappointed in DC though. I've lost a lot of respect for him today. It's one thing to have an off day or make a mental mistake, but to just not try. There's no excuse for that. If I had the talent of Telemachus I'd pull up 4 or 5 plays where he just watched the play and jogged while everyone else was running. While the entire team got outworked, he just didn't seem to care.
by Ryan Rosenblatt on Feb 10, 2008 3:49 PM PST reply actions
Maybe he's hurt.

That's what Arizona thought
But yeah, they REALLY need Luc back.
