CRN's Program Picks Up A Linebacker

Lost amidst all the hoops madness a little recruiting note from the football team. CRN's program got a commit yesterday. Arcadia LB Golper is a Bruin. Here is Dohn's post in which which the kid also gives props to DeWayne Walker:

Arcadia High linebacker Todd Golper said his family ties, and his bond with UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker, were big reasons why he gave UCLA a non-binding oral commitment today.
His dad, John, went to UCLA law school and his brother, Brian, is a first-year at UCLA law school. Also, he played with Walker's son, Kevan, at Arcadia High last season.
"My top two schools were Stanford and UCLA,'' said Golper, who was at UCLA's Junior Day today. "I saw what I wanted to see when I was at Stanford's Junior Day last week. I was at UCLA (today) and saw the part of student life that I hadn't seen.
"UCLA seems to be the best fit for me. Overall, the football program at UCLA, the school, and they were the first school to offer a scholarship, so it all fit. And DeWayne Walker, so I couldn't ask for more." More on Golper here.

Welcome to Westwood Todd. Hope you enjoyed Pauley yesterday.

GO BRUINS.
