Lisa Fernandez Day

Adam Rose notes in his Los Angeles Times blog that Bruin legend/assistant coach Lisa Fernandez pitched her final game ever at Easton Stadium, throwing for the U.S. National Team against the Bruins.

Fernandez said one of the best parts of her career was having the opportunity to play with her best friend, Kelly Inouye-Perez, throughout the years. Today, they both coach the Bruins. "We talk about UCLA being a family. It truly is a family."

If you read down the blog, you'll find that Kevin Love was in attendance, drawing so much attention that the P.A. announcer had to ask fans to leave him alone.
