Jay Bilas on UCLA
Jay Bilas wrote this entry for the ESPN last Friday.
He comments on the UCLA team, fans & CBH...
• UCLA supporters have taken the loss in the Final Four pretty hard. ..UCLA and Ben Howland have been questioned following three Final Fours and no titles...
No reasonable observer can argue that UCLA's accomplishments over the past three years have been anything short of remarkable....
He talks about Westbrook, Shipp & LRMAM, as well.

Sorry
Somehow I had missed it completely, and my husband sent it to me.

Bruingirl
Hope you don’t mind that I cleaned up your link. The new tool bar is very user-friendly.
Thanks for the contribution.

Not At All
Thanks. I’m a geezer, so it will take me a few tries to get it right.

Way Too Young to Be a Geezer
You are more than welcome in Geezerdome but premature geezering is not to be recommended. It’s hard to go back once you’re there.

SJH is correct again.
Class of 83 would put you way younger than geezerdom. You probably haven’t even retired.

Retire?
I haven’t and, apparently, neither have you.
From what I understand about private practice, the big rainmakers like you worked on the golf course. You’re still there.
Most litigation is a morality play - a battle over the way the world ought to be. And, most trial lawyers see the courtroom as theater. So, Fox, you perform in a bigger theater in dramas that present moral issues. Instead of speaking your lines, you sing - sort of like one of my all time favorite TV shows—Cop Rock.

My last such "trial" was Tosca
Let’s see. Tosca murdered Scarpia, but not before Scarpia had sentenced Cavarodossi to be executed, and then Tosca committed suicide after the execution. All in all, not a good day for the defense team. (But an exceedingly good show.)
I am semi-retired. My commute is 15 second, not 45 minutes, which is very good. I really don’t miss the collegiality of the law office, because I can still hang out electronically, and also, of course, because of the collegiality here. The lawyers I work for are aware that I often have to attend a “site inspection” basically on a daily basis, and we just work around that. All things considered, it’s not bad.

Now You're Just Being Silly..
I don’t foresee “retirement” in my future…I honestly don’t know any attorneys who have retired “voluntarily,” (even when they probably should have.)
“Nature of the Beast.”
I suggest that “geezerdom” is a situational and relative state. When it comes to linking things properly here, I’m definitely a geezer. Not so much when I’m doing other things.
Thanks, guys.
