"Morgan 'for sure' to UCLA "
Just in. Jill Painter from the Daily News is reporting that J'mison Morgan's brother has confirmed his inetent to transfer to UCLA, pending his release from his LSU LOI. He also says that they fully expect the LSU administration to grant his release. Did Ben Howland know something we didn't when he released Chace Stanback? Meaning, did he already have a good idea of who will be coming back, who he is still going after that will come to UCLA, etc. and therefore lead Chace in the direction of transfering? This would certainly be a huge coup for Howland and for UCLA. This would cement our stellar class and make us extremely formidable next year no matter who comes back. Getting Shipp, Aboya, and Mbah Moute would certainly help.
Very interesting indeed. Here is the post on DN's blog:

I just spoke with Ronnie Morgan, J'Mison Morgan's brother, and he said ``he's planning for sure to attend UCLA next year.''
Morgan also said he believes LSU will let J'Mison Morgan out of his letter-of-intent, paving the way for Morgan to play for the Bruins this season.
``They haven't made an (official) decision yet, but they say they're going to (grant the release),'' Ronnie Morgan said."
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Looks like a DONE deal
GO BRUINS!!!!
Ya gotta believe..
(Oh yeah, sure, these things happen at other schools, but why do they never happen when you have a Lavin or Dorrell around?)
My guess is that Johnson will want to build a program with his own guys eager to play for him and not Brady's or La Pierre's recruits who might be hesitant. For the life of me, though, I cannot see why Morgan wanted to go to LSU in the first place.

Maybe
I still can't believe it
I'll just hold out hope that he can be released, and if released, chooses to attend.
From
Morgan (6-11, 255) said he submitted the release papers to LSU on Sunday and is considering attending UCLA in the fall.
"It was a real hard decision for me," said Morgan, an all-state center. "My comfort level was at LSU, but I felt like UCLA was a better fit for me as far as exposure."
Morgan said he hopes to hear back from LSU by the end of the week and will make his college decision after receiving the official release.
Painter just posted in the Daily News that LSU officials haven't received any paperwork yet (supposedly he sent it in on Sunday). So while I think we can be optimistic, until he receives his official release, this is no way a done deal.
Morgan
Really
Now, the reason I also believe Morgan is the key to our success, is because I think Gordon is better suited as a power forward, and Morgan could fill the Center hole. But I'm obviously going out on a bit of limb here as well. Only time will tell I guess.
From another angle
interesting comments from J'mison's Mom.
It looks as if LSU is going to try to find out why before they release him.
