Bodes well for LMR, I hope
LMR got 26 minutes (more than any other guy on the Lakers’ summer squad), went 6-8 from the field, scoring 12 points, and dragging down 7 rebounds (including 3 offensive boards). Not great, but not too bad.
Although Boze didn’t get any time on the floor, I was pleased to see Duh-von spent the entire game warming the bench for LMR.
Perhaps the number of minutes indicates the Lakers see the same qualities in LMR we’ve been fortunate enough to watch close-up the last four years. I’d love for the kid to get a shot at making it. The Lake Show certainly needs some defensive toughness (which I think they recognize with this whole Odom-for-Artest trade talk), so let’s cross our fingers for LMR.

Mata scored 12 points
How often did that happen while he was in Westwood?

12 points
Did anyone watch? Were his 12 points on dunks or shots?

Love vs Mata
Saw the game last night. Although these are guys trying to make the last 1-3 spots on the bench the talent is definitely above final 4 level.
Love was smooth. Prediction – he will be a better pro than he was in college
Lorenzo was under control and very strong. He will be a good role player in Europe
Devon didn’t play again. I feel bad for him because he should have stayed at USC and used BB to get his degree and make his contacts.
Boze didn’t play. Saw him in his first game and he was okay but doesn’t play up to his size.
