The UCLA game will be very important to us, so we can hopefully start the season with a win, and use the open stretch to prepare for the SEC games coming, but not getting too far away from what we know is a gruelling 9-game stretch, and the need to rest our athletes as we can and build depth.

Fulmer
No wonder so many people in Tennessee don’t like him, he speaks Dorrellian!

Not to mention
it’s a bit of a dig at UCLA. I mean, ok, it’s probably a down year for us, but putting the game against UCLA a level below the SEC games is a bit, shall we say, arrogant. As usual. But hey, I welcome Fulmer’s slight overconfidence, we saw how well they fared the last time they had to actually travel for an away game. Bring it, dough boy.

I don't see it a slight
Conference games always take precedence over other games. While I hope the Bruins take every game seriously, the Pac 10 games take precedence over non-conference games for us too. Now the fact that he only makes sense half the time is another matter.

I'm nitpicking
but it’s pretty obvious that his “grueling” 9-game stretch doesn’t include UCLA. I’m not offended, but it does seem like he treats the UCLA game as a preseason type game. Hopefully that’ll come to bite him in the arse.
