Around SBN: The 2009-2010 Card Chronicle Big East basketball preview

Speaking of a freshman Bruins QB with wheels - a little highlights from 95 when a fearless no. 18 went into South Central and took care of Rose Bowl bound TrOJans. Craft, Forcier, Prince, Rasshan ... whoever gets the nod ... needs to be fearless ... just like Cade. 21 more days. GO BRUINS.

Arrogant Punks

I love how the TrOJays act as if we never dominated them. They like to say “that’s in the past” when you bring up the 90’s. It’s funny how their memories are long when it comes to their “glorious” past but they grow forgetful of the 8 straight. They forget that for the last 25 years, the record stands at 12-12-1. That must be domination by Trojan math. That’s a “basketball school” matching the mighty trojays at their one claim to fame.

That is all they have: The past and Petey. I say that it is time we take it away from them so that they will have nothing. Maybe then they’ll get their acts together.

It’s time for us to win again like we have in the very recent past. They will not “win forever” and it is pure arrogance to think that anyone could ever do that. It’s time for us to inject some forced humility into their program.

A very enjoyable game

I have that one on videotape. What makes it particularly good was listening (yes, listening) to those two arrogant trOJie richards flat-out rooting for justsc, only to have the Bruins shove it right up their collective rear ends. Tom Kelly was just about crying when John Robocoach kept running the ball at the end of the game.

Should I check the weather report in hell for snow storms?

Fox listening to announcers? Yes, I realize you are getting a big kick out of it, but I never thought I would see you admit that you enjoyed listening to announcers.

That Brings Back Memories

But not how you think. I didn’t watch this game. I was a senior in high school at the time and I had to work that day (I bagged groceries in high school). I remember reading the fishwrap the next day, which had a great picture of Cade on the front page of the sports section. It was love at first sight. I vowed that someday I would marry him (the fact that I had just broken up with my boyfriend of over two years had nothing to do with it, right?).

Geez N, you got me all fired up now.

love the attitude

Not only Cade but the entire team that day had an attitude that we were going to smash sc and they did it. We need that attitude back!
