Former UCLA shortstop Brandon Crawford signed by Giants
In addition to signing third-rounder Roger Kieschnick on Wednesday, the Giants also inked fourth-rounder Brandon Crawford. The UCLA shortstop, a projected first-rounder before a disappointing spring, received a $375,000 bonus, matching the fourth-highest in the fourth round this year.

Great Signing
I can’t wait to see this guy suit up for the Giants! He is going to do big things despite his junior year letdown.

I'm happy for Brandon
He got over slot and did better than he could have had he come back to school regardless of how well he played. When you’re a senior and have no leverage with which to negotiate you will get lowballed and have no other option, but to take it.
Tomorrow is the signing deadline so I’ll have a post up hopefully by tomorrow night recapping how the signing period went. Just a note, recruit Clark Murphy signed with the Rangers leaving Yankees first round pick and UCLA recruit Gerrit Cole and the last remaining question mark.
