Yesterday was one of the saddest days in UCLA's football history. Coach Henry "Red" Sanders died on August 14, 1958. There was a great post by Perelman on "What's Bruin" last year on Coach Sanders. Coach Sanders immortalized two quotes: "Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing" and "Beating USC isn’t a matter of life and death; it’s much more important than that." That explains why Adam Rose, the TrOJie alum forgot to mark the date on "What's Bruin."
